BHPSS has developed specialist and rigorous methods in order to undertake this most important function. Full pre-employment enquiries are carried out to ensure that only suitable persons are invited to join the team.

Advertisements are carefully created and placed by the Company throughout a range of media and other sources and are meticulously in accordance with the pre-agreed Client assignment Specifications. The advertisement invites applicants to telephone for more information and   following concise but salient questioning, enabling analysis of verbal skills; they are invited for a local interview at their earliest convenience, subject to their suitability.

The interviewee is required to complete a detailed application form; an aptitude test and a comprehensive range of information enquiry documents. Requests for postal applications are not considered. Once the application documentation is completed the applicant is rigorously interviewed. Any anomalies in the career history are discussed and investigated in detail. Duties and particulars of the assignment are thoroughly explained.

During the interview, the applicant is assessed as to his/her suitability for the specific position advertised. If considered acceptable a file is passed on to our fully SIA. authorised independent specialist screening company Link Ltd, who carry out an initial five year telephone screening procedure leading on to a full ten year screening procedure (or to school leaving age) as required under current SIA. Standards (BS7858).

Should the screening prove satisfactory the completed file is passed to the Operations Director to be examined and authorised .If the Director is satisfied with all references obtained, the mandatory SITO training course is completed and the file is signed for final authorisation. Only following satisfactory completion of this process may the applicant apply for his/her license via the SIA BHPSS assists all applicants fully with their license applications from commencement to completion.

If any element of this process is not fulfilled employment cannot be offered.
